Design Management

 

• Develop procurement methodology, prequalification and RFQ/Ps for Architectural & Engineering (A&E) firms

 

• Analyze submittals, make selection recommendations to the District, assist in contract negotiations for A&E firms

 

• Provide guidance to design teams, for providing learning environments that will demonstrably improve academic performance.

 

• Provide guidance to design teams, for providing learning environments that will facilitate common core learning

 

• Manage the development of schematic and detail design drawings and specifications

 

• Manage the development of the final construction documents used for bid.

 

• Provide constructability, value engineering, and estimate reviews.

 

• Consult with District on all design documents and comment on cost and schedule impact.

 

• Prequalify, analyze submittals, make selection recommendations to the District, assist in contract negotiations of specialty consulting services required for design and construction (Testing Labs, Inspection Services, Geotechnical, HazMat, Environmental, etc.)
